How to set or reset your password
You never need a password for HueInk — the emailed sign-in link is enough, and new accounts start without one. But a password is handy on a phone, or if emails are slow. The same steps set your first password or replace a forgotten one.
Steps
- Go to Sign in.
- Type your account's email (the one you signed up with, or the one on your receipt if you bought HueInk) in the Email field.
- Click Forgot password? (next to the Password label).
- Open the email from HueInk and click the link.
- Type your password twice and click Save password. Use at least 8 characters, with both letters and numbers.
Already signed in? You can skip the email: go to hueink.com/auth/reset, type your password twice and click Save password.
What to expect
Your password is saved and you are signed in. From now on you can sign in with your email and password, or keep using sign-in links — both work.
If something goes wrong
- "This page works when you're signed in, or from the link in the password email" — you're not signed in and the link has expired (after one hour) or was already used. Start again from step 1.
- "Use both letters and numbers" or "That password is too easy to guess" — choose a longer password that mixes letters and numbers.
- A password you chose before confirming your email doesn't work — that's on purpose: for your safety, any password set before an account's email was confirmed is removed when the email is confirmed. Set a new one with the steps above.
- The email doesn't arrive — see I didn't get the sign-in email; the same tips apply.
- "That email and password don't match" — check for typos and Caps Lock, or reset the password with the steps above.
