How to get your client's approval with a link
Send your client a private link. They see the posts with captions and dates, and approve each one or say what to change. They don't need a HueInk account.
Before you start
- The Studio plan or the Agency plan (Agency Lite doesn't include approval links).
- The client's profile selected at the top right, with some posts or a planned month.
Steps
- Go to Studio and open Approval links.
- Choose what to send:
- Choose posts – tap the posts (up to 60), or
- A month of planned posts – choose the month. The link always shows that month's planned posts, including ones you add later.
- Optional: give the link a name only you see, and choose when it stops working.
- Click Create link.
- Click Copy link and send it to your client by email or chat.
Important: copy the link right away. This is the only time you'll see it: for your client's privacy we keep only a fingerprint of it, so we can't show the full link again. Lost it? See "Make a new link for the same posts" below.
What your client sees
Each post as it will look, its caption and planned date, and two buttons: Approve and Request changes (with a note). Once they type a note, Send changes becomes the main button. They can add their name so you know who answered. Answers are saved straight away and can be changed. Sponsored posts show the disclosure ("Paid partnership with … #ad") at the start of the caption.
See the answers
When your client answers, we email you, and a number appears next to Studio in the top menu and on the Approval links tab. If your client answers several posts in a row, you get one email that lists them all (at most one email per link every 30 minutes); answers you already saw in Studio aren't emailed. You can turn these emails off in Account → Emails. Open Studio → Approval links: answers you haven't seen yet are marked New, and the number goes away. Each link shows how many posts were approved, how many need changes, the client's notes and how many times the link was opened. Tap a post to open it in the editor.
Make a new link for the same posts
If you lost a link or want to send it to someone else:
- Open Studio → Approval links and find the link under Your links.
- Click New link, same posts (or New link, same month).
- Leave Turn off the old link ticked if nobody should use the old one any more.
- Click Make the new link, then Copy link. Like every link, it is shown only this once.
Turn a link off
Click Turn off on the link. It stops working at once. Delete removes the link and its answers.
If something goes wrong
- Your client sees "This link is no longer active" – the link expired or was turned off. Create a new one.
- Your client sees "Link not found" – part of the link is missing. Send it again.
- "Tell us what to change" – your client clicked Request changes without writing a note.
- "The posts of this link were deleted" – the posts are gone, so a new link can't be made from it. Choose posts and create a new link.
