How to make a media kit
A media kit is a one-page summary of your page that you send to brands: who you are, your numbers, your audience, your rates and your latest posts.
Before you start
- The Studio plan, the Agency plan or Agency Lite.
- Your numbers from Instagram: open your profile, tap Professional dashboard and look at the last 30 days.
Steps
- Go to Studio and open Media kit. Make sure the right profile is selected at the top right.
- Under About the page, write a short headline. Leave About empty to use the profile's bio.
- Under Numbers, type your followers, the average reach per post and your engagement rate.
- Under Audience, add your top countries, age groups and gender split (for example "Romania" and "62%").
- Add your rates (the Rate card tab can fill them in), the brands you've worked with and your contact email.
- Click Save media kit.
- Click Download PNG for an image, or Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window.
Tip: the kit shows the 6 most recent posts of this profile. Untick Show my 6 most recent posts to leave them out.
What to expect
The kit on the right updates as you type. On a phone, use Edit details and Preview kit at the top to switch between the form and the kit (the Preview kit button next to Save media kit does the same). It is always white with black ink, like your posts, so it prints well. The kit is saved separately for each profile.
If something goes wrong
- "Check the contact email" – the email address isn't complete. Fix it and save again.
- The posts in the kit look plain for a moment – they are still being drawn. Wait a few seconds.
- The PDF has extra pages – in the print window, set the paper to A4 and the scale to "Fit to page".
