How to price your posts with the rate card
Not sure what to charge a brand? The rate card suggests a price range for each kind of post, using a simple formula you can see.
Before you start
- The Studio plan, the Agency plan or Agency Lite.
- Your follower count and engagement rate (Instagram Professional dashboard).
Steps
- Go to Studio and open Rate card.
- Type your Followers and Engagement rate (%).
- Choose your Niche.
- Tick what you sell: feed post, carousel, Story set, Reel or a bundle of all three.
- Read the suggested ranges on the right.
- Click Use in my media kit to add them to your media kit.
How the price is worked out
- Start: $5 to $10 for every 1,000 followers for one feed post.
- Engagement: your rate divided by 2% (a typical rate), never below 0.6× or above 1.6×.
- Niche: from 0.9× (humor) to 1.3× (business and finance).
- Kind of post: carousel 1.25×, Story set 0.6×, Reel 1.6×; a bundle is 15% cheaper than buying the three separately.
- Small pages never go below $25 to $50 for a post. Prices are rounded and shown in US dollars.
Tip: this is an estimate to start a conversation, not financial advice. Charge more when a brand wants to use your post in its own ads, wants you to work only with them, or needs it quickly.
If something goes wrong
- "Type your follower count to see a range" – the followers field is empty or not a number.
- The prices in the media kit didn't change – click Use in my media kit again; it replaces the rates in the kit.
