How to add an Instagram profile
A profile is a workspace for one Instagram account: its own look, voice, plan and posts. HueInk only uses the @username to organise your posts. It never connects to or posts on Instagram.
Before you start
- Free, Creator and the one-time Personal and Commercial licences include one profile. Pro includes 3 and Studio 25. With a one-time licence, Multi-Profile Studio adds up to 10 (or 5) and Agency up to 25.
Steps
- Click your @username at the top right, or go to Profiles.
- Click Add Instagram profile. This card only appears while your plan has a free profile slot. On a plan with one profile, that profile is created when you first set up HueInk, so you will see All 1 profile in use instead.
- Type the Username (letters, numbers, dots and underscores, up to 30 characters).
- Optional: click the round + to add a profile picture, and type a short Bio. They are used in the grid preview.
- Pick a niche template (for example Stoic daily or Corporate humor) or Start blank.
- Choose the Language, how many Posts a week and your Hashtag set.
- Click Create profile and open the planner.
What to expect
The new profile becomes the current one and the planner opens. Each profile card shows posts planned this month, posts to post today and your streak. Use Switch to change the current profile.
Tip: The no-repeat guard is always on: no library quote or illustration is used on two of your profiles, or twice on one profile within 90 days.
If something goes wrong
- "Your plan includes one profile. Pro has 3 profiles, Studio 25." — delete a profile you no longer need, or move to a plan with more profiles (See plans). With a one-time licence, the message names the Multi-Profile Studio add-on instead.
- A profile shows "Locked" — your plan now includes fewer profiles than you have (for example after a Pro trial or a downgrade). The first ones (in the order they were added) stay in use; the others are kept with their posts, brand kit and plan, but you can't switch to them, plan or edit their posts. Click Upgrade to use @… again, or delete a profile you don't need: the next locked one becomes usable.
- "You already have a profile called …" — each username can be used once per account.
