How to preview your Instagram grid before you post
The profile preview shows your next 12 planned posts the way they will look on your Instagram profile: three columns, with the newest post at the top left and the slightly taller tiles Instagram uses.
Before you start
- A month plan with posts from today on (see How to plan a whole month of posts).
- Creator, Pro or Studio (the grid is part of Plan my month). On the Free plan you can try it with the 7-day Pro trial (see How to start your 7-day Pro trial).
Steps
- Go to Plan.
- Look at Profile preview on the right. Your profile picture, username and bio appear at the top, as on Instagram.
- To change the order, drag one tile onto another. The two posts swap days. With the keyboard, focus a tile and press Alt + arrow keys.
Tip: Alternate long and short texts, and illustrations on the left and right, so the grid looks calm and varied.
What to expect
The calendar and the preview update together: when two tiles swap, their days swap in the calendar too. Each tile shows its date in the corner.
If something goes wrong
- The preview is empty — nothing is planned from today on yet. Plan your month first.
- My picture or bio is missing — add them in Brand kit under Grid preview details.
